Dr. Karen Torres is a caring dentist in Cary, NC, who treats every patient with care, skill, and a personal touch. Her love for dentistry comes from helping people, learning new things, and making smiles healthy and beautiful.
A Journey Based on Excellence
Dr. Torres was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, but she moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1986 and graduated from Antilles High School there. She went to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to study science and got a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1994. She was so dedicated to dental health that she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) “Cum Laude” from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1999.
Serving the Community with Care
Dr. Torres began her dream career at the Tri-County Community Health Center in Dunn, NC, after graduating. There, she found satisfaction in serving communities in need of dental care and became involved in supporting her patients, families and of course, smiles. Her compassion for serving her patients lives on in every patient experience: personalized, gentle, and holistic.
Building Cary Dental Spa
Dr. Torres opened her private practice in 2009 at the MacGregor Village shopping center in Cary, NC. In opening a practice, Dr. Torres carefully recruited a team that shared her vision and worked to create a patient-first practice to provide the highest quality care. In 2011, her husband and business partner, Chad Stall, joined the practice on a full-time basis, bringing additional priorities of elevating patient care and customer service. Together, they have developed Cary Dental Spa into a welcoming, professional, and caring dental home for their community.
Dr. Torres received recognition for her commitment to her industry and leadership by receiving the 2014 Latin American Excelente Businesswoman of the Year Award. After four years of development, she moved her practice into a new build-out in Parkway Professional Park in 2015 as she continued her mission to provide advanced, compassionate dental care to be performed in a relaxing and spa-like environment.
Personal Life & Philosophy
Dr. Karen Torres and her husband Chad adore spending time with their son and their two cats, Vader and Sidious, who are always up to something. They like to go on trips, dance, and do things outside together.
